It is such a healthy food.?
Hi there diurlin***
Yuuuuuuuuugggghhhh!!! I would not like to try any of the other recipes, not being nasty because I am used to my spinach the following way:
* Spinach (as much as you want)
* potatoes (for 1 whole head I use 2 potatoes)
* 1 Onion (chopped up)
* Chicken stock, 1 cube
* garlic (1 clove) or ask much as you like!!
* butter (2 tsps, or more if you want, when you are mashing)
* worcester sauce
* salt
Place (throw) all the above in a pot with the water covering the quartered potatoes. Cook until the potatoes are cooked, as if you were going to make mash potatoes).
Add the butter, worcester sauce and salt to the mixture, to your liking, and mash all ingredients together.
Voila!!! it is now ready to eat.
I use the above for my spuds, Cook the whole pototoes, scoop out the middle part, mash the potatoes with the above, take the shell of the potato and fry in a little hot oil until crispy, fill the hollow with the mixture, sprinkle cheese on top and grill until cheese has melted.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm now I am hungry!!
ENJOY****
Luv peppa-ann

U know what I too love spinach. I dont know about recipies in general but what i do is add fresh spinach leaves to my salads, and sandwiches. I also once chopped some leaves and sprinkled them on my homemade pizza, was very tastey...just a few ideas.
Two easy ones I can instantly think of.
Saute some onion and green pepper (garlic if you like)salt and pepper
Chop the raw spinach or if using frozen, squeeze out the excess water and pull the spinach apart. Whip up a couple of eggs and pour into the saute while adding the spinach.
Great and quick for a healthy breakfast, lunch
or dinner. Some additional items you may add is asparagus, broccoli, bacon, parsnips and cheese. Um Um Good
2nd Recipe Wonderful Salad
2 cups fresh raw spinach
3 strawberries sliced
1 kiwi sliced
2 slices of red onion separated
about 8 mandrin oranges slices
Arrange all in a large salad bowl, top with slivered almonds and use Fat Free Raspberry Pecan Dressing. (Henrys) If you want to be fancy you can use praline walnuts instead of almonds.
Baby Spinach, washed. Olive Oil, Garlic sauteed, seasoned with Salt and Pepper to taste and topped with freshly grated Parmesan Cheese !!!!!!
