First I would look at getting a well established canine diet book such as Donald Strombecks Home Prepared Dog and Cat Diets. You MUST becareful of pop recipes that sound fun but are not nutrionally balanced. This book will give you the background of what a dog needs nutritionally and how to provide it in many menus for different situations. Dr. Pitcarin also has a great Holistic Health Care book that has menus in them. Yahoo groups offer much in the way of advice and support for home cooking. Several such as The Possible Canine; Totally Home Cooking; Dog Nutrition for starters.
