go to whfoods.comAny good HEALTHY recipes. I usually only get certain grocerys otherwise my food goes to waste...?
Here are a couple of ideas:
Inside of foil, make a layer of chopped onions, parsley, and celery with a nice piece of salmon over the top. Sprinkle it with dill spice and the juice from a lemon slice. Bake this inside the foil until it is thoroughly cooked.
This will stay nice and moist and taste delicious!
Also, for the ground turkey, you can make a turkey ';burger'; with the wheat bread, sprouts, avacado, and mayo or mustard.
You may also want to try making a big soup or stew - try adding a couple of extra vegetables (maybe onions, celery, carrots) to your broccoli and use chicken or beef broth. You can add salmon or chicken or any meat of your choice. You can use tomatoes and garlic if you like. When you let this cook for a long time, it can be really delicious, and you can keep some in the fridge for the next day, too.
When I find that I have leftovers in the fridge that I hate to throw out - I take it and make a stew or a soup out of it. And sometimes it ends up to be such a mishmash I call it ';stoup'; !!!

Carmelized onion chicken with rice.
Preheat large skillet and add a little oil (extra virgin olive oil or what ever you have)
Take one whole large onion and cut it up into bite size chunks and throw into pan. Cover and cook until is cooked through, about 8-9mins. when cooked through uncover and let the liquid cook off until it is a thick gumbo like consistancy, this will go well over your rice.
for rice heat pan over med-high heat with one pat of butter and a couple teaspoons of oil. Dice up about one half and onion and put in. Add one cup of rice to the oil and cook for about one minute. then add one cup of chick stock or broth and one cup of water and cook for about 15 minutes covered.

Need a recipe to make healthy homemade dog food for 2 small sized dogs! Actual FOOD recipes, no treats!?
Anyone know how to make HEALTHY homemade dog food?
I know that certain things that people eat are NOT good for dogs. But the ingredients in dog's food has got to come from somewhere and I would prefer I KNEW where it all comes from...most of which can be obtained by ANYBODY I would imagine! I am pretty sure I can get around using horse hooves and still feed my dogs something that is safe and nutritious! Sorry~just pre-fighting off the naysayers who would have been bound to deride me for feeding my dog something it shouldn't be eating because I certainly wouldn't waste my time cooking for my dog if I was making it something that was worse for it than the food I can buy in less than 2 min. at the store! THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!!!!!!Need a recipe to make healthy homemade dog food for 2 small sized dogs! Actual FOOD recipes, no treats!?
You're right, the crap they put in commercial dog food is horrid. My friend adopted a dog, Ziggy, and when she started feeding him steamed white rice and meat everyday his coat became noticeably shinier. I wish more people were more like you and took better care of their pets. There is a link to some homemade pet food advice below. Good luck!Need a recipe to make healthy homemade dog food for 2 small sized dogs! Actual FOOD recipes, no treats!?
California Natural would be my choice. All good stuff! If cost is not an issue, I would feed CN or a raw diet, both of which are available at most fine pet stores. By no means attempt to feed raw meats that are not intended for pet feeding.
Best Wishes!

There's actually a lot of good dog food out there. My friend use to work for a company that makes moist cat and dog food. They put all fresh ingredients in it as well as added vitamins and protein. He said that the food is even good for us to eat. They put really nice cuts of meat in it. One of the brands they make is Purina.
