I'm in college and have gained 10 lbs. because my first two years I ate Ramen and junk food all the time. Now I'm looking to get back into a healthier lifestyle. Any suggestions? I'm not looking to diet or anything, I'm at a healthy weight and don't have a problem with my body. Just want to eat better so I have more energy and feel better about my food choices.Healthy food/recipes for a college student??
Here. I had to do a diet with my mum once. (I was support. I am thin enough.)
First of all, Ramen is a VERY good way to GAIN weight. Stop eating it. It's quick and easy, but it's going to make you fat.
Go to the store, by chicken and fish. (Fishsticks work)
By eating more chicken and fish, you take in less fat then from a beef or pork.
Have a salad with your meal instead of fries or other things with grease or fat.
Corn or rice is good. It helps the digestion and helps you... uh, remove the waste from your body.
Treat yourself once or twice a week to a little snack or beef if you want it.
Stop eating junk food if you want to feel better. Well, not completely, but minimize the intake.
Crutons are good on your salads. It's the snack of salads.^^
Bagels and english muffins, eggs, possibly grapefruit is better in the morning.
Speaking of fruit, make sure you get your fruits and vegetable.
^_^ Good luck!Healthy food/recipes for a college student??
you don't say whether you can cook but if you can, try to make sure you have lets of vegetables in your meals. when you want a snack pick up a piece of fruit or a yogurt. If you eat lots of small snacks of healthy stuff all day, you won't eat a lot of bad stuff which causes weight gain. Grab a bagel and some milk or orange juice in the morning, then have a banana and a yogurt mid morning, then have a salad at lunch, snack on a handful of nuts or popcorn in the afternoon, then eat veggies, rice or pasta with some protein like grilled chicken or fish and you're good. And drink lots of water.
I think what you're looking for is in this free ebook. It's a compilation of 490 award winning recipes and a free easy download.

Try going vegan. you can eat as much as you want and not gain wait (provided you're not loading too heavily on the carbs and junk foods).. mostly fruits and veggies!!! :)
