But, I don't know how to cook! HElP ME!!!
phyllo-spinach rolls.
you take feta(1 8 oz pkg crumbled) and parmesan(few shakes) and cream cheeses(1 8 oz pkg softened), thawed and drained spinach(1pkg), fresh parsley(couple pinches)and mix them in food processor until sort of creamy and spreadable.
Have a package of frozen phyllo dough sheets thawed.
1. unroll the dough in one stack and cover with a damp kitchen towel to keep from drying out.
2. take one sheet and brush with olive oil(lightly)
3. fold in half
4. spread the spinach mixture(couple teaspoons) fairly evenly along the folded side of the dough.
5. roll em up. you can cut them in half or leave them whole(kitchen scissors works best for this)
6. place them on baking sheet and very ligthly brush with the olive oil again, so that they will brown up.
7. 350 degrees for about 11-12 minutes.
this is a very simple recipe but takes a little patience when rolling them up. but after a couple you get the hang of it and you wont want to whip them against the wall-lol. they are a for sure crowd pleaser that nobody will believe you made yourself. and you would be surprised at how many people have never baked with phyllo dough- and they will be impressed.I need a healthy finger food recipes for a party of about 30 people? Apple juice finger jello...
4 small or 2 large JELL-O Brand Gelatin

Completely dissolve gelatin in boiling water or juice. Pour into 13x9-inch pan. To un-mold: dip pan in warm water about 15 seconds. Cut into squares or use cookie cutters. Lift from pan.
Ice Cream in a Baggie (Very easy and a lot of fun to make.)

1 one gallon size Ziploc bag
2 cups ice
1 tablespoon coarse salt

Go to your local deli and look around. They have a wide selection of everything you need from dips to sandwiches and desserts. Also look in the freezer section for tart shells and pastry shells that can be filled with chicken salad, pimento cheese, etc. also found in the deli section of your local stores, crackers and breads that are neutritious and different. If it looks too expensive see what is in it and try to put it together yourself. Put some meatballs in a crock pot with some brown gravy. When it gets hot add a cup of sour cream and you have instant swedish meatballs. Little smokies in another crock pot with crushed pineapple and currant or orange marmelade heated through is good also.
A veggie platter is a classic, you can buy them pre made or design your own. Spinach dip is easy and heealthy, thaw frozen spinach and add cream cheese, you can make it even healthier by surrounding it with celery to dip it with instead of chips. Or you can do a veggie platter and a friut platter, just put a dab of lemon juice on the apple slices to keep them from going brown, you can add berries and oranges, I even know a fruit dip. marshmellow fluff and cream cheese, sounds odd, but tastes great! especially with apples and strawberries. good luck!
Dips are good and easy. Sour cream with onion soup are big, or use vegetable soup mix instead (These are dry in a bag!). I make one that is a hit! place sliced pieces of liverwurst in a blender or food processor, add a tablespoon of mustard, 2-3 tablespoons of Kraft Salad Dressing (lighter and less calories than mayo!). puree until a smooth mix. Place in a sealable plastic container until ready to serve. Serve with celery, corn chips, or Buggles.
make some veggie spring rolls with peanut sauce or some quesadilla rolls with a light cream cheese with some veggies as well..
try foodnetwork.com or get a copy of Rachael Ray's 30 minute entertaining. SoutherenLiving.com and womansday.com are good sites, too.
